The Large Hadron Collider is the largest and most complex scientific tool ever built and the highest energy particle accelerator in the world. It is 100 m underground and runs through both French and Swiss territory.

This is truly amazing. I've heard of this LHC, but never really fully understood how it worked. If all goes as planned this will be a great leap for science!

I have read several articles on the hadron collider,It is a rather ambitious project as well as interesting. I wonder will this project enhancethe work of the much smaller collider that is in the USA.
